Angels

Anyone who's ever suffered cannot deny the fact that there are angels among us. The song by Alabama rings true in their heart. My favorite part of the song is the bridge:

"There are so many faces
They show up in the strangest places
To bless us with their mercy
In our time of need."

I truly, truly believe that we are so very blessed to have the opportunity to live in a community. The Lord surrounds us with other people in order to bless our lives and, in turn, hopefully we can bless their lives as well.

Today, a handful of these "angels" are on my mind. So many people who have literally appeared out of nowhere in order to rescue my aching heart or to soothe my wondering mind. I believe that we can all be angels on earth, if we but act to the intuition inside of us-the thoughts, the feelings or the whisperings we may experience that lead us to others. It's been my experience that we may never know if we may be an answer to someone else's plea. It is my new determination to never let a prompting go unanswered-even if it's just a little thought that passes through my head, acting upon that small voice may just be what that person has been praying for.
